In line with the commitment to fully institutionalize “Respect for Human Rights as a Way of Life in the Philippine National Police (PNP)”, the PNP Human Rights Affairs Office, under the leadership of PCSUPT DENNIS A SIERVO, successfully conducted the refresher courses for the following offices:

30 Investigators/Custodial Officers of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)  from November 24 to 25, 2015 at HRAO Conference Room,

  30 Investigators/Custodial Officers of the Eastern Police District (EPD) from November 26 to 27, 2015  at EPD Headquarters,  

30 Investigators/Custodial Officers of the Maritime Group Maritime Group (MG) from December 1 to 2, 2015 at the MG Conference Room, Camp Crame, Quezon City as well as

 15 Investigators/Custodial Officers of the Women’s and Children’s Protection Center (WCPC) and Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (AIDSOTF) from December 2 to 3, 2015 at the HRAO Conference Room.

Said refresher courses had the objective to enhance the knowledge and awareness of PNP Investigators and Custodial Officers on the application of relevant National and International Human Rights Laws, principles, and standards to avoid the commission of Human Rights Violations in their day to day performance of duties. Further, it provided an avenue to improve competencies and enhance the level of cooperation between investigators and custodial officers.
