Pasig City, February 2-4, 2016. In line with the PNP HRAO P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2015 Vision of “Fully Institutionalizing Respect for Human Rights in the PNP”, PSSUPT EDGARDO G PAMITTAN, Assistant Chief of the PNP Human Rights Affairs Office (PNP-HRAO) together with PCINSP EMMANUEL SL ENRIQUEZ attended the three day Summit on Global Action Against Mass Atrocity Crimes (GAAMAC II) from February 2 to 4, 2016 at the Marco Polo Hotel, Ortigas, Pasig City. 

February 4, 2016, Quezon City- The Philippine National Police (PNP), in cooperation with the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), Asia Pacific Forum (APF), and Association for the Prevention of Torture (APT), holds today, the 1st National Summit on Torture Prevention at Hotel Rembrandt, Quezon City which aims to boost collaboration and cooperative efforts among the PNP, CHR, and other national agencies towards a common objective of improving the promotion and protection of human rights in the country with emphasis on the prevention on the occurrence of torture.

As the year 2016 unfolded, PCSUPT DENNIS A SIERVO, Chief, of the PNP Human Rights Affairs Office (PNP HRAO); PSSUPT EDGARDO G PAMITTAN, Assistant Chief, HRAO; and some HRAO Personnel paid a courtesy call to The Honorabe  JOSE LUIS MARTIN GASCON, Chairperson of CHR and The Honorable Karen Dumpit, Commissioner of CHR on January 20, 2015, 3:00 Pm, at the Office of the Chairperson to discuss, among others, the programs and activities of PNP HRAO for CY 2016 geared towards the full institutionalization of the respect for human rights as a way of life in the PNP as part of the Performance Governance System-PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030.
